23 -- ALTERNATIVE FUELED SEDANS AND LIGHT TRUCKS SOL FCAP-F1-AFV96-N POC Rob Blackstone 703-308-4434 The Government will be issuing a Solicitation resulting in firm fixedprice, requirements contracts in accordance with Federal standards 122AK and 307Y. The primary purpose of this Solicitation is acquire alternative fuelvhiclles anticipated to be available from original equipment manufacturers in accordance with the terms of the energy policy act. The Solicitation covers alternative fueled vehicles powered by ethanol, methanol, and natural gas. Vehicles may be flexible fueled, dedicated or dual fueled. Offerors must be either original equipment manufacturers (OEM) (responsible for the vehicle fuel economy of the gasoline version of the Model supplied under provisions of 49 CFR, parts 531 OT 533), or have an agreement with an OEM pursuant to the terms of the energy policy act of 1992. Alternative fuel vehicles may be 1996 and/or 1997 models. Shipment required is 90 days after receipt of delivery order. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 17, 1995 with a closing date on or about September 21, 1995. All responsible sources must submit offers in usdollars. See numbered Note 12.(0206)
