Z -- REPAIR COMMUNITY CENTER ROOF/EXTERIOR, FAIRCHILD AFB, WA SOL F454613 95 B0029. DUE 091495. The project is to completely rework the exterior of building 2185, a single story facility of approximately 30,000 SF. Minor landscape improvements are also included. Work includes, but is not limited to providing new ``thin brick'' veneer over steel framing on the existing exterior siding, removing existing smooth surfaced built-up roof and providing new architectural, standing seam metal roof, replacing existing windows and doors with new, and demolition/removal/disposal of concrete docks. Construction includes but is not limited to masonry work for the exterior application of thin brick, metal roofing, miscellaneous sheet metal flashings, aluminum windows, hollow metal exterior doors and frames, sealants, painting, and relocation of electrical items. The estimated value of the work is between $1.0 and $5.0 million. The contract performance period shall be 200 calendar days. Government furnished materials will not be included. The standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1542. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 14 August 1995. Interested parties must include a positive statement of eligibility as an SDB concern, evidence of capacity to obtain bonds for a project of this magnitude, and information that demonstrates a capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.
