United States Holocaust Memorial Council (USHMC) has identified a
requirement for the services of a state-of-the-art production studio to
record oral history interviews for the Department of Oral History's
archives within the Research Institute. The contractor's production
studio shall be equipped with a production stage approx. 33' x 24'
which consists of a brown, grey or blue cyc or curtain. The contractor
shall provide a ``Green Room'', which is a quiet room. Contractor's
facility shall have a dining facility or cafeteria where food is served
or catered. With advance notice special meals requests are to be
accommodated. The production studio shall have the capability to
perform at both full day and half day rates. The contractor shall have
at a minimum a 3 ship CCD camera with zoom lens for recording
interviews. The contractor must provide a lighting grid (and lighting
dimmer board), c stands, in addition to the following lighting
instruments: foam core light, silks, flags and other incidentals. The
contractor shall provide a control room equipped with a multichannel
audio board to regulate and control audio channels and level, as well
as a CCU (Camera Control Unit) to set and adjust video levels or
equipment or equipment in the studio. To record each interview, the
facility must be able to provide one BetacamSP record deck. Each tape
shall be formatted with 1 or 2 minutes of color bars and tones to
insure that all levels of programming are recorded with constant same
color density and clarity. This includes base year and two (2) option
years. All responsible sources capable of providing the services
requested are encouraged to submit a proposal. Request for proposal
(RFP) 3880-95-R-0012 will be issued o/a 14 Aug 95 with a closing date
