The work in general consists of the successful contractor providing all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services necessary to satisfactorily convert the existing HVAC system to a VAV system. Work includes, but is not limited to: convert central air handlers to variable speed drive air handlers; convert multi-zone air distribution system to single duct VAV with terminal heat; modify pneumatic control system; abandon hot water radiators; and install low pressure duct and air distribution devices. Estimated construction cost range is between $180,000 and $220,000. Time for completion of the entire project is onehundred-twenty (120) calendar days after notice to proceed. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 18, 1995. Requests for proposal packages must be accompanied by a NON-REFUNDABLE cashier's check or Postal money order for $20.00 per set, made payable to: Disbursing Officer, USPS, and referencing the Solicitation Number. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of the offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is made and the request is submitted in writing.
