The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis with RASNA Corporation, San Jose, CA, one each RASNA'S MECHANICA P-Code Finite Element Analysis Software which sonsists of Mechanica Complete-Unix 7.0 Power Pack and Pro/Engineer and IGES Translator. The software to be purchased is proprietary to RASNA and negotiations will be conducted with RASNA and/or distributors of these specific RASNA products. This software will be used in structural analysis and provides analytical solutions in the areas of kinematic, thermal, and structural simulation. The software's ability to solve polynomial variant functions (P-code) allows for simulation o surface based interactionn problems. The software meets following government specifications: Provides for the entry, generation and manipulation of hierarchical three dimensional geometric models consisting of points, curves, and surfaces which includes support for standard editing functions, such as translation, rotation, mirroring, extrusion, sweeping and intersection with or without copting. Provides the capability to perform static, modal, dynamic frequency response and dynamic time response analyses of three dimensional structural assemblies consisting of beans, shells, and solids. Provides the capability for adaptive P-Code or polynomial variant function element methods of structural analysis, Kenesian formulation of multibody dynamic. Must have capability to analyze bolted-up structure.
