Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for meeting rooms, equipment, food and services for the 19th National Information Systems Security Conference to be held in the Washington, D.C., area in October and/or November of 1996. The conference shall be held on four (4) consecutive week days with an evening registration the preceding night. The offeror shall provide the following : Registration area, a room to hold the plenary session, and coffee breaks each day, all for approximately 1600 people; five (5) meeting rooms which hold at least 300 each; ten (10) small rooms for demonstrations and informal meetings; assorted other rooms to be used as an office, audiovisuals, speaker's lounge, press room, & executive room; banquet, beginning with cash bar, for 1100 to 1600 people and a heavy hors d'oeuvres reception for the same number range; podiums and microphones as needed; and a 600 sleeping room block. --A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated.
