The work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, tools, and services necessary to complete the items of work as required base wide, such as curb and gutter, roadway repairs, reconstruction of roadways, hot mix asphaltic concrete surfacing, sidewalks, base work and other related items as listed on the bid schedule, and as indicated in the delivery orders forthcoming. Upon being notified of work according to the contract; the contractor shall within five (5) days inspect the subject work and determine that the work agrees with the work outlined in the bid item schedule. Within fourteen (14) calendar days the contractor shall present his cost estimate to the Contracting Officer for review. Negotiations shall be scheduled not later than 5 working days after submittal of proposal. The proposal shall include the contractor's proposed work schedule of the Delivery Order. Submittals shall be presented at the Preconstruction Conference. Roadway, street, or parking lot patching or repairs shall be of an amount equal to at least one days work. Work shall be performed at and on Reese AFB, located 10 miles west of Lubbock, TX. Invitation for Bids will be issued on or about 22 Aug 95 with a tentative bid opening date of 21 Sep 95. Performance time is one year with a one year option period. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $500,000. A bid guarantee amount of twenty percent (20%) shall be submitted with the bid on the proper form. This is full and open competition and the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1611. The related small business size standard is $17 million. Small and Small Disadvantaged business concerns are encouraged to participate in this request.
