(703) 875-1726 The Agency for International Development(AID) is
seeking sources to provide rental of training space and overnight
facilities in the Metropolitan area. The Agency for International
Development will conduct a training workshop for an estimated number of
130 attendees (90 overnight guests and approximately 40 day commuters)
during September 17 through 21, 1995. The contractor shall provide a
facility with security and without access to the general public. The
facility shall provide all necessary workshop rooms including, a
workroom/control center for USAID staff managing the training, 2 large
conference rooms (up to 80 persons each and furnished with state of
the art equipment for amplification, large screen projection of
computer models, video/movie screens), and up to 6 breakout rooms with
similar electronic equipment, and lodging for all overnight conference
participants with three meals for overnight participants and two
mid-day meals for overnight and day participants. The contractor shall
provide audio visual equipment which includes but is not limited to
microphones for speakers and for audience feedback, overhead projectors
and movie/video projectors and large screens, electronic equipment able
to provide large screen projection of computer models and
presentations, video cameras for taping of eight to ten hours of
presentation, technical staff support for all video equipment,
registration and a camera person for the video. Contractor shall
provide transportation to and from Dulles International Airport and bus
service from and to West Falls Church Metro and/or Rosslyn Metro on
Sunday (9/17) and Thursday (9/22), and daily service from and to
Rosslyn, Virginia or points along the Route 7, Route 66 corridor
to/from Washington, D.C. The contractor shall also prepare 2 training
notebooks for each participants (up to 300 3 inch/3 ring binder
notebooks with dividers, basic cover art, table of contents (USAID will
provide camera-ready contents). The contractor shall provide video
taping services up to ten (10) hours of training sessions and provide
the raw footage to AID along with up to five copies of the footage.
