C -- A-E SERVICES TO PREPARE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND COST ESTIMATES FOR VARIOUS ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING PROJECTS SOL N62467-95-R-2989 due 091195. This contract shall be an Indefinite Quantity Contract for Architectural-Engineer Services to prepare Drawings, Specifications and Cost Estimates, for Various Architectural and Engineering projects at the Coastal Systems Station. The projects anticipated will require primarily architectural design with engineering support. Specific projects have not been identified, however, projects to be awarded under this contract will be similar to the following projects: (1) Model Making Shop Expansion; (2) Diving-Service Engineering and Development Building. Selection will be made on the basis of the following criteria which are listed in order of importance: (1) Professional qualifications of individual design team members in architectural and engineering design for new, repair, and alteration type projects; (2) Specific experience and technical competence of the design team in the design of new, repair, and alteration type projects for DOD and specifically Department of Navy; (3) Ability to design several projects simultaneously, current volume of work of the firm and capability of producing drawings using AutoCAD version 11 or higher and producing specifications using the ``SPECINTACT'' system of the ``Construction Criteria Base''; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Performance evaluations on recently completed DOD and specifically Department of Navy contracts; (6) Internal quality control program with demonstrated results of reducing design errors and omissions; (7) Location in general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; (8) Extent to which potential contractors identify and commit to small/small disadvantaged businesses, historically black college/university, or minority institution during performance of the contract. The proposed contract will be for a one year period and may provide for a one year extension at the option of the Government. Total fee to be paid under this contract will not exceed $500,000 including the option year (Base year $250,000, Option year $250,000). A-E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit completed SF 254 and SF 255, U.S. Government Architect-Engineer Qualifications, to the Officer in Charge of Construction, Coastal Systems Station, 603 West Highway 98, Suite 126, Panama City, Florida 32407-7001. Firms responding to this announcement by September 11, 1995 will be considered for selection. No other general notification to firms for other similar design projects performed under this contract will be made. This is not a Request for Proposals. (220)
