99 -- CONTRACTOR LOGISTICS SUPPORT OF AC-130U GUNSHIP ALL LIGHT LEVEL TE LEVISION SYSTEM POC George Boyette/Contracting Officer, Mike Steward, (513) 255-5495. DESCRIPTION: The AC-130U Contracting Division (ASC/LUUK) at Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio intends to issue a Request for Proposal and Statement of Work for contractor logistics support (CLS) of the AC-130U Gunship All Light Level Television (ALLTV) system for a five-year period starting 1 October 1996. The intent of this support is to procure line replaceable/shop replaceable unit (LRU/SRU) depot repair, sustaining engineering, peculiar hardware and software configuration control, contractor operated and maintained base supply, on-site technical support, and depot support for intermediate-level test program sets. The ALLTV is an active and passive optical/laser system which provides real time visual data to support target acquisition, recognition and identification, fire control, target designation for laser guided munitions, precision navigation updates and reconnaissance. The ALLTV system is comprised of twelve line replaceable units (LRUs) and one major computer software configuration item. Potential offerors must be thoroughly familiar with the ALLTV system and be capable of providing CLS for the LRUs and software programs. All offerors shall indicate their size status in relation to SIC code 7699, $5.0M. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before resorting to the use of the Ombudsman.
