Description: Emergency Room medical physicians services. Contractor shall provide acute care services on Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, to Government beneficiaries eligible for health care. Services will begin at 6:45 am on Thursdays and Fridays and 8:45 am on weekends and holidays and will end after all patients have been treated after the 8:00 pm closing time. Performance of emergency room procedures compatible with operating capacity and equipment of the medical facility. Provide immediate evaluation treatment, and/or referral of patients who arrive in the emergency room and needs of hospitalized patients, to carry out procedures, and to write orders, until the patient's staff physician arrives. Providing professional advice to emergency room personnel and to professional management of patients being treated and/or hospitalized. Reporting for a briefing to the Chief of Hospital Services, or a designated credentialed member of the staff, prior to assumption of duty on any work shift. Advising the Chief of Hospital Services, or designated credentialed member of the staff, of any problems encountered, or which may be encountered. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Performance Work Statement. Basic contract period will be 01 October 1995 or date of award, whichever is later thru 30 September 1996, with two one-year option periods. This proposed procurement is under 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. Only written requests will be accepted. IFB will be issued on or about 01 September 1995.
