NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT QUALIFIED PROPERTY QUALIFICATION CONTRACTORS FOR AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING RESIDENTIAL \PROPERTY REAL ESTATE AUCTION ?NRC AUCTIONS, INC., intends to distribute a Solicitation ofServices requesting proposals from qualified firms to performrequired maintenance to prepare between 20 and 60 single familyresidential properties for sale by auction. These properties arelocated in the Charlotte, NC area. The properties to be preparedfor sale are owned by various receiverships or conservatorshipsand/or their subsidiaries, all of which are controlled by theResolution Trust Corporation. The property preparation serviceswill include, but not necessarily be limited to: providingindividual cost estimates; completing approved property repairs;assisting in the distribution of marketing brochures; assisting inthe opening of properties for ''open house'', and preparingcomprehensive completion reports for each property prepared. To beconsidered well qualified a firm must: (1) have experience inpreparing large number of properties for sale, in a short period oftime, i.e.: complete preparations on up to 60 properties in a 3045day period; (2) meet the following insurance requirements: a)Performance Bonds in an amount not less than $300,000, b) Workman'sCompensation Insurance, and c) General Liability insurance in anamount not less than $1,000,000; (3) demonstrate knowledge of RTCMinimum Habitability requirements; (4) be licensed, or agree tobecome licensed, to do business in the State of North Carolina; and(5) have financial capability to wait up to 30 days on payment forwork performed on individual properties. Firms desiring to respond to the announcement must submit anotification letter on official firm letterhead statingaffirmatively that the firm is qualified to perform the aboveservices and to meet the above requirements, and is interested inreceiving a solicitation. The notification letter must include:firm name, street address, phone and facsimile numbers, federal taxidentification number (TIN), name of contact person, whether or notOfferor is a Minority or Woman Owned Business (''MWOB''), andsignature of an officer or general partner of the firm.
