(Site Code DAAK60) The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command (Prov) intends to continue the services of a standing committee (which provides technical assessment and advisory services) from the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council, 2101 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20418. The committee will continue to focus on the following topics: a) Technology Transfer and Dual-Use Technology Strategies, b) Soldier System Initiatives, c) Support for the Army Training and Doctrine Command's Dismounted Warfighting Battle Lab, d) Horizontal Technology Application throughout the Battle Labs and Natick, and e) Other topics related to core technologies, business areas, re-engineering, and resources. The National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council (NAS/NRC) has the unique capability to assemble a national panel of volunteer technical experts from industry and academia in the specialized areas of textiles (polymer materials systems); food, nutrition and packaging; simulation and modeling; computer science and artificial intelligence; bioproduction and bioprocessing; consumer/marketing psychology; airdrop (aerodynamics/computional fluid dynamics); soldier systems; systems engineering and technology integration; research and development management; and re-engineering.
