STEERABLE AIRBORNE TELEVISION CAMERA, AN/AVQ-22, B-52 AIRCRAFT Contact

31098-1600, 912-926-6726. This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant
to FAR Part 5, but is a MARKET SURVEY to identify potential sources for
the development, fabrication, and production of a replacement
state-of-the-art airborne Steerable Television Camera (STV) Conversion
Kit as a preferred spare to replace the AN/ALQ-22 STV of the
electrical-optical viewing system on the B-52 Aircraft. The replacement
camera, pseudo NSN 1280-BC-111-2222, shall have the capability of
optically providing both a wide angle field of view and a narrow angle
field of view as selected from an external source. Each camera will
consist of an image sensor, optics, and a digital image processor unit
which must meet the dimension requirements of the current AN/AVQ-22 to
be a true form fit and function replacement. Delivery of six (6) STV
cameras, which are to be tested and proven to be qualified for
operational use on the B-52 is required. Assorted spare parts, a level
III data package, and full system specifications will be delivered as
part of this program. Priced production options, which may be
implemented upon successful qualification and flight testing, will be
included. The period of performance will be approximately 36 months to
complete full qualification testing, reliability and maintainability
testing, and flight testing. Interested contractors will require a
security level of ``Secret''. It is estimated that the program will
begin in the 2nd quarter of calendar year 1996. A formal solicitation
does not exist at this time. This survey is for information and
planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or
Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. WR-ALC anticipates a competitive acquisition using
government furnished specification, statement of work, etc. Potential
sources interested in participating in this survey must provide a
written response that includes: Company Name, Address, CAGE Code, Point
of Contact, Size of Business pursuant to SIC 3812, Level of Security
Clearance, Statement of Domestic or Foreign Ownership, a copy of your
DD Form 2345 - Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, and
documentation showing capabilities and experience (brochures,
literature, contractual histories, etc.). Contractors may obtain a DD
Form 2345 certification by contracting Defense Logistics Service
Center, at 1-800-352-3572. The extent of foreign participation has not
yet been determined and release of information will be determined at
the time of solicitation. Capability and experience documentation must
include discussion of your company's experience in the following area:
1) Your Company's experience in the design and construction of Airborne
Steerable Television Cameras. 2) Your company's capability to
manufacture state-of-the-art CCD camera systems. Failure to provide all
requested information may result in your company not being placed on
the initial source list when/if a requirement generates. Large and
small businesses are encouraged to participate. Questions or responses
