The contractor shall provide comprehensive medevac transport services to IHS beneficiaries within the State of Alaska. The contractor shall provide all equipment and personnel necessary for successful performance of this service. The period of performance shall be one (1) year with four (4) one year option periods. The contractor shall provide ground and air transportation from patient origin to patient destination. Air transportation shall meet the following minimum criteria: be based within a ten mile radius of the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage,Alaska, published useful load of 2500 pounds or more, and capable of minimum airspeed of 240 knots per hour. Personnel in the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport Team will include two critical care nurses who have a combined minimum experience of two years in intensive care, coronary care, emergency room and pediatric ICU.
