The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to procure a network node (NEC 2000) from NEC Business Systems for the existing NEAX system to serve it's Atlanta facility. This network node expansion will be covered under PBGC's existing service contract with NEC BCS. It is necessary to procure this network expansion equipment from the same source to ensure expeditious warranty services. In view of the contractor's familiarity and expertise with our current system, it is in PBGC's best interest to award a contract to NEC Business Systems. This is not a request for proposals.
