300 E. St. SW, Washington, DC 20546. The National Aeronautics and
Space Administration seeks to increase the number of contract and
subcontract awards to small disadvantaged businesses (SDBs). In an
effort to achieve this mission and annually met or exceed NASA's SDB
goal, mandated by The Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, the Office
of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, NASA Headquarters in
Washington, DC, is sponsoring this unique and dynamic training and
development program as a means of providing critical Business
Management Assistance to SDBs. The objective of this training program
is to enhance the ability of SDBs to successfully compete for contracts
in the highly technical and complex environment of NASA. The Training
and Development of Small Disadvantaged Businesses in Advanced
Technologies Program is designed for High-Tech SDBs seeking knowledge
that will be gained through this unique course will result in increased
success in competing for NASA contracts. This course will cover three
days of instruction and will include, but not be limited to, the
following Business Management topics: DISCOVERING the uniqueness of
doing business with NASA and how to reach the decision makers.
INCREASING knowledge for effectively making bid versus no-bid
decisions. INCREASING knowledge based in business development,
alternative financing, and project management, UNDERSTANDING how to
leverage in subcontracting and teaming agreements. IMPROVING overall
ability to successfully compete in NASA's highly technical aerospace
environment. ENHANCING adequacy of financial systems requirements for
R&D cost type contracts. ENHANCING audit readiness. ENHANCING proposal

REQUIREMENTS. Participants will be selected from Small Disadvantaged
Businesses that possess SIC codes of a technical nature that relate to
the NASA mission. Applicants must have been in business for no less
than 2 years. Companies are limited to sending two employees
(preferably officers and managers). 9(a) Certification not a
