presolicitation notice to FAR Par 5, but a Market Survey to identify
sources for a Bare Base Heater. We are seeking a NONDEVELOPMENTAL ITEM
(NDI) that can replace the current fielder heater, duct type,
portable, HDU-36/E, 120,000 BTU, Model H82, NSN 4520-01-254-8548. We
have a current requirement for 157 units. Two modes of operation
include free air ventilation and temperature controlled heated air. The
unit integrates with the Air Force remotely deployed airfield concept
(bare base). Integration of the heater includes power supply, air duct
connections and external fuel source. Required Characteristics are as
follow: Minimum Heat Output - 120,000 BTU/hour at 0 degrees F;
Electrical Operations - 120 volts, 50/60 Hz and must interface to bare
base generator utilizing power cable part number 13039-101 (Cage Code
90598). Note: 13030-101 includes part numbers (Cage Code) 97-94-22
(02660), 7-8649 (02660, R4183F (14726), MS25036-157 (96906), 9760-22P
(02660), D-10-502 (75037), J-C-580SOCK3/12RNJ(81348); Maximum Power
Consumption - 1.5 kw; Fuel Utilization - JP-8, JP-4 and diesel; Fuel
Source - Internal Fuel Tank; Duct Connections - part number FLX1501-003
and FLX1501-0004, Cage Code 16632 and flexible to interface with bare
base shelter for supplied andc recirculated air; Operation in External
Environment and Ambient Temperature Range (Degrees F) - Ventilator
Mode: +70 to +125, Heater Mode: -65 to +70 and must operate without
additional shelter. Desired Characteristics are as follow: Fuel Source
- interface to external fuel source and desired to interface with bare
base fuel source through fuel line connection part number: C5325X4,
Cage Code 79470; Maximum Weight - 300 pounds; Duration of Unsupervised
Heater Mode Operation - 24 hours, desired duration utilizing the
internal fuel source; Duration of Unsupervised Ventilation Mode
Operation - Continuous; Maximum Cube Dimensions (inches) - height: 32,
length: 41.5, width: 34.5; External Color - Desert Tan IAW
FED-STD-595, Color Number 33446 or US Army Color 686. A solicitation
does not exist at this time. This survey is for information and
planning purposes only and does not consitute and Invitation for Bid or
Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. The extent of allowable foreign participation has not been
determined. The Government reserves the right to limit such
participation subsequently. Potential sources interested in
