205-895-1135. The U.S. Army Engineer Division, Huntsville, intends to
make a sole source award for nonpersonal services to Professional
Performance Development Group, Inc., 7475 Callagan Rd., Ste 201, San
Antonio, TX. The requirement is to provide support services to the
Health Facility Project Office, New Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam
Houston, TX. Anticipated performance period will be 2 Oct through 31
Dec 95. The award shall be conditioned upon availability of funds
(reference Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 32.703-2) and shall
contain FAR Clause 52.232-18. Disciplines will be in the fields of (1)
Engineering and (2) Health, Patient Care and Related Areas. The
qualifications required for Discipline 1 shall include, as a minimum,
at least five years experience in the field of building management and
maintenance management. The qualifications required for Discipline 2
shall include, as a minimum, at least five years experience in the
field of nursing, of which at least three years must be as a nurse
methods analyst. Services for Discipline 1 shall include, but are not
limited to: Reviewing and updating inspection and maintenance plans for
the building monitoring systems; monitoring progress of construction
and verifying that the design of building monitoring systems is being
installed as specified; review technical submittals and transmittals
from the construction contractor; provide facility status and updates
as required; provide photographic documentation on the progress of
construction; serve as the staff technical consultant; and participate
in the acceptance inspections of the new facility, and systems and
major equipment therein. Services for Discipline 2 shall include, but
are not limited to: Making recommendations/suggestions on matters
pertaining to health care; participate in the development of user
Concepts of Operation; conduct background research on Engineering
Change Proposals and Conflict Reports, developing proposed corrective
actions and assessing the impact on patient care; provide facility
status and updates as required; participate in the development of user
training programs; participate in medical equipment procurement
reviews; and participate in the acceptance inspections of the new
facility. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis of intent to
make a sole source award is not a request for quotes. All responsible
sources requesting a soliciation must submit a response which will be
considered by this agency. Sufficient data must be provided to clearly
indicate that the vendor can provide the services required. If no
written responses are received within 15 calendar days, a sole source
