COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 1,1995 PSA#1423USDA, ARS, North Atlantic Area; Contracting Office; 600 East Mermaid
Lane; Philadelphia, PA 19118 66 -- COULARRAY DETECTOR POC Frank W. Boyer, Purchasing Agent, (215)
233-6552. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, intends to negotiate
solely with ESA, Inc., for a CoulArray Detector, 8-Channel with Four
Channel Array Upgrade and a Temperature Control Module to be delivered
FOB destination Boston, MA. The system must provide flow-through
electrodes, providing complete electrochemical conversion of the
analyte. The system shall be capable of having up to 16 coulometric
electrodes in series, provide electrochemical resolution of co-eluting
peaks, have independent potential control for each electrode from -1
volt to +2 volts in 1mV increments. The system shall have a computer
(PC) based software control of data acquisition (2 points per second on
each channel) and data analysis which generates sample reports
concentrations and peak ratio data. The software shall provide peak
identification based on retention time and channel ratio analysis; and
accept data from up to 16 channels from the array detector and present
them in a 2-D or 3-D format. The system shall provide for assessment of
analyte peak purity by signal ratio across channels, shall have a
detector with autoranging gain control, and provide for gradient
baseline correction feature. The system must be delivered within 30
days after receipt of order. Companies with the demonstrated ability to
provide this equipment must submit within 15 days of this notice a
written substantive statement completely defining the system offered
and descriptive literature to the attention of the Purchasing Agent at
the above address. This is not a request for proposals; no
solicitation is available. (0242) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0301 19950831\66-0005.SOL)
