The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the Graphical User Interface (GUI) Management System Developers software licenses and support. The following software and support items are manufactured by Visual Edge Software Limited; UIM\X version 2.9 GUI Development Software license for Sun/Solaris 2.3 (12 each); UIM/X GUI Development Software licenses for SGI/XRIX 5.2 version 2.9 (2 each); UIM/X Annual Software support inclusive of all updates, upgrades, enhancements and unlimited fax, email and telephone support Monday thru Friday exclusive of Government holidays and during the hours of 0800 to 1700 (12 each for 1 year); the Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following software and support items as manufactured by Bluestone: Deluxe extension for Sun network licenses and support inclusive of all updates, upgrades, enhancements and unlimited fax, email and telephone support Monday thru Friday exclusive of Government holidays and during the hours of 0800 to 1700 (1 each for 1 year); Deluxe extension for SGI licenses and support inclusive of all updates, upgrades, enhancements and unlimited fac, email and telephone support Monday thru Friday exclusive of Government holidays and during the hours of 0800 to 1700 (2 each for 1 year). The Government requires a product which is designed to develop graphical user interfaces for computer systems. These items are necessary to provide the required computational resources and user interface for evolving mission critical functions in support of strategic retargeting system (SRS) initiatives. The GUI applications must adhere to human factor design requirements and techniques as specified in OD 18413, human factors design standards for fleet ballistic missile systems, and OD 61771, fire control graphics requirements. The GUI software identified above is currently being utilized by the prime fire control system contractor. It is essential that the products developed by NSWCDD and the prime contractor for deployment on the fire control system utilize the same GUI tool. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
