Service Locker/Steel Magazine - To store small arms and pyrotechnics.
Magazines are to be constructed in accordance with Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms Regulation (27CFR Part 55) for Type I and Type II
bullet-resistant magazines with modification to meet U.S. Navy Arms,
Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) physical security requirements
(OPNAVINST 5530.13 CH-1), U.S. Navy safety requirements (OPS).
Description - Prefabricated steel, woodlined magazine shall be 1 cubic
yard or greater in size, constructed of at least 1/4 inch steel
exterior and woodlined with at least 3 inches of hardwood or 5 1/4
inches of softwood and/or plywood. Magazines shall be vented,
constructed on skids/runners, and affixed with lift
straps/hooks/eyelets for handling and transportation. Magazines shall
have a protective exterior coating capable of resisting environmental
elements and preventing oxidation/deterioration of the magazine. Ramps
must be made of metal and be capable of sustaining a load of 14,000
pounds. The ramps must be designed so that materials handling equipment
can move pallet loads of ammunition in and out of the magazines easily
and safely. A non-skid surface shall be applied to the face of the
ramp. The ramps shall be connected to the magazines from the lip of
container door to the ground. Ramps must not interfere with the opening
and closing of the doors of the magazine. Item 0001 - P/N 846684, 7' x
