This procurement is for T-1438/D Locator Beacon Transmitters, Type I units over six frequency channels (231.0 MHz, 233.0 MHz, 235.0 MHz, 237.0 MHz, 239.0 MHz, and 241.0 MHz). The transmitters shall be manufactured and qualified in accordance with NAWC Performance Specification TGT-TAS-030 and NAWC Statement of Work. Technical data is also required. First Article Testing is required and will not be waived. The transmitter is intended for use in sub-scale expendable aerial targets and is intended to aid in the location and recovery of an aerial target during recovery operations. The T-1438/D transmitter is used to meet World Range Safety Requirements, and to provide a positive geographical location of the target after it has gone into a recovery mode within the cognizant range operating areas. The transmitters shall meet all the FAA and FCC requirements for RF Transmitting devices as defined in the Performance Specification TGT-TAS-030. The T-1438/D transmitter transmits a RF carrier frequency of 231 - 241 megahertz (MHz) that is tone modulated by a 1000 hertz (Hz) amplitude modualted (AM) signal which is chopped at a 2.5 Hz rate. Total quantity of transmitters is 903 each units. The base contract will be for 3 each First Article units and First Article Testing for the 3 units. First Article units and First Article Testing shall be completed no later than 365 days after contract award. Delivery of the First Article units shall be 15 days after approval of the First Article Test Report. Delivery of First Article units and production option units is FOB origin. Production Option I is for a total of 225 each production units. Delivery of Production Option I units shall begin no later than 180 days after exercise of the option and shall be delivered at a minimum rate of 20 units per month. Production Option II is for a total of 225 each production units. Production Option II is for a total of 225 each production units. Production Option IV is for a total of 225 each production units. Delivery of Production Options II, III and IV units shall begin no later than 30 days after the completionof the delivery of the previous option quanity and shall be at the minimum rate of 20 units per month.
