Sources are being sought for the Base Logistics Services: The contractor will provide supply, transportation and office equipment maintenance services to Los Angeles AFB, Fort MacArthur and over 100 DOD units located in the greater Los Angeles area. The conractor will be responsible for developing and programing material, manpower and equipment and allocating the necessary funds required to support base operations and special projects. Base Supply operation entails the requisition, purchase, receipt storage, control, issue, shipment, disposition, identification, and accounting for supplies and equipment ordered by base units and all other DOD activities in the Los Angeles area. Contractor supports small computers and peripheral items. Contractor operates a Hazardous material Control Unit. Base Transportation involves the operation and maintenance of 48 vehicles to support the transportation requirements of user for all activities, (ie LAX flightline operations, protocol, movement of supplies/equipment). Office equipment maintenance services provides for the in-house repair of small office machines (typewriters), safes and furniture. Also, the contractor must process work orders via commercial vendors for the repair of large office equipment. Period of performance will begin approximately Apr 96 for basic year and at Government option for 4 additional years. Solicitation issue date will be approximately Nov 95.
