requirement for the procurement of a Graphic Weather Display System
(GWDS), which includes, but is not limited to; the installation,
testing, training, operation and maintenance support of an end user
GWDS. The GWDS will be installed and operated at the Federal Aviation
Administration's (FAA) Western-Pacific Region Automated Flight Service
Station (AFSS) at the Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu, HI.
The primary purpose of the GWDS is to provide timely weather briefings
and flight advisories to pilots. The GWDS shall continually receive,
process, store and make available for display graphic weather data, as
well as real-time data, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The GWDS shall
be capable of accepting additional graphic, satellite and NEXRAD
products as they are developed. In general the contractor shall provide
all necessary personnel, services and equipment for implementing and
supporting the GWDS; provide detailed system documentation including as
built drawings, training, operations and maintenance manuals; provide
on site training for FAA personnel in operations and maintenance of the
GWDS; and provide unlimited warranty on contractor installed equipment
for a one year period from acceptance. This solicitation is for the
initial equipment delivery, installation, maintenance service, and data
services for a one (1) year base period and four (4) option years.
Invitation for Bid (IFB) DTFA08-95-B-03750 will be available on or
about September 29, 1995, with a public bid opening approximately 30
days thereafter. All responsible offerors may submit a bid which shall
be considered by the FAA. All interested Offerors must submit their
