58 -- HONOLULU AFSS GRAPHIC WEATHER DISPLAY SYSTEM SOL DTFA08-95-B-03750 POC Matt Smilak, (310)725-7552 The FAA has a requirement for the procurement of a Graphic Weather Display System (GWDS), which includes, but is not limited to; the installation, testing, training, operation and maintenance support of an end user GWDS. The GWDS will be installed and operated at the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Western-Pacific Region Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) at the Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu, HI. The primary purpose of the GWDS is to provide timely weather briefings and flight advisories to pilots. The GWDS shall continually receive, process, store and make available for display graphic weather data, as well as real-time data, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The GWDS shall be capable of accepting additional graphic, satellite and NEXRAD products as they are developed. In general the contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, services and equipment for implementing and supporting the GWDS; provide detailed system documentation including as built drawings, training, operations and maintenance manuals; provide on site training for FAA personnel in operations and maintenance of the GWDS; and provide unlimited warranty on contractor installed equipment for a one year period from acceptance. This solicitation is for the initial equipment delivery, installation, maintenance service, and data services for a one (1) year base period and four (4) option years. Invitation for Bid (IFB) DTFA08-95-B-03750 will be available on or about September 29, 1995, with a public bid opening approximately 30 days thereafter.
