The work to be performed under this project involves the repair of damage caused by a fire on the third floor of a dormitory building and structural repair to the roof framing. Also included in the work is the replacement of approximately 21,000 square feet of ceilings with drywall and acoustical title, replacement of the electrical, mechanical, and fire alarm systems, and roof repair work. The work also includes the extension of walls to the underside of the structure above to provide fire rated wall assemblies, window replacement, new floor finished, and painting. General clean-up from the fire is also a part of this work at the Shreveport Job Corps Center located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Construction time is scheduled for 196 calendar days to substantial completion. The estimated cost range for construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for October 19, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
