Masterson Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X290 FAX: (401) 841-4820 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport plans to acquire the following five (5) I-DEAS Software Programs from Structural Dynamic Research Corporation (SDRC), 119 Russell Street, Suite 2, Littleton, MA 01460-1240 on a Brand Name Mandatory basis, to support design and analysis of the MK48 ADCAP/TPU Program. All are a quantity of one (1) each: Core Master Modeler (Model #A001), Core Drafting (Model #A002), Surfacing Set (Model #A003), Simulation Set (Model #A005) and Model Solution Non-Linear (Model #CO2123). The delivered software must be compatible with existing Government owned I-DEAS software, which has been used in the past to produce new designs, analyze constraints, and support drafting needs for the MK48 ADCAP/TPU Program. The previous work has been developed using an HP 735 Computer and the above named I-DEAS software, and this procurement will provide exact duplicates of the software for an additional HP 735 that will be delivered to NUWCDIVNPT in September. Compatibility with existing hardware and software, as well as future projected expansion that will include networking of all systems, dictates that any new software be identical so that the computers can share data and design files. In order to ensure compatibility, the exact software specified must be purchased. The software will be delivered within 30 days of contract award to the Supply Officer, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, 1176 Howell St., Newport, RI 02841-1706. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the requirement will be solicited orally from SDRC. All responsible sources that believe they have the capability to meet the Government's minimum requirement are encouraged to submit technical and cost information that will be fully considered. All cost/ technical information must be received by this office within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice in the Commerce Business Daily.
