LEATHERS, Phone (703)604-1920 Pursuant to guidance within the Report of the Committee on Appropriations, NAVAIRSYSCOM intends to solicit bids from McDonnell Douglas Corporation for multiyear contracts for the procurement of AV-8B Harrier and T-45 Goshawk aircraft. The contracts would commence with long lead and economic ordering quantity funds in FY 1996 and would cover the procurement of approximately 58 AV-8B aircraft and 60 T-45 aircraft from FY 1997- FY 2001. McDonnell is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the AV-8B and T-45 aircraft. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 50143-95. (0264)
