A -- DEVELOP AND DEMONSTRATE A PROTOTYPE FOR AN INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING SYSTEM TO PRODUCE FIBER OPTIC SEGMENTS AND HARNESSES FOR THE COMANCHE RAH-66 PROGRAM. The Government intends to undertake a sole source Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) development contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06497-9129. The contract will provide for a prototype integrated manufacturing system to produce fiber optic segments and harnesses. Authority and justification is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government estimates that the effort will take approximately 5 years. The Government does not possess sufficient, accurate or legible data to permit full and open competition. See note 22.
