Columbia River Smelt (Eulachon or Thaleichthys Pacificus) for marine mannal food must be whole, fresh frozen, and packaged in 25 pound blocks and Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) with a 5% glaze packed in 50 pound box. Estimated total amount of Smelt to be purchased is 460,000 pounds per year. Eighty percent (80%) to be provided block frozen and twenty percent (20%) IQF. An additional option procurement for each year of ten percent (10%) of the annual requirement will be included. The period of performance will be for a base period of three years with two one year options. It is anticipated that multiple awards will result from this requirement.
