Amendment: The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) published an announcement on September 20, 1994 in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) seeking Small Business sources that can supply corrugated fiberboard boxes in accordance with BEP's General Specification BX: CFB-1V and specifications for each of the various box types and sizes. Due to changes in the specifications from stapled manufacturer's joint to glued/adhesive joints, RFP Number BEP-95-03(TN) is being reopened for competition. The corrugated fiberboard boxes shall be suitable for use in packaging postage stamps, aerogrammes and other securities at the BEP. The Government anticipates that a Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract will result from this solicitation. The period of performance will be one (1) base period of 12-months plus two (2) 12-month option periods. The amended solicitation will be available on or about October 30, 1995. Interested firms are required to submit a written request for a copy of this solicitation by this date. Telephone requests will not be honored. All firms written requests must state the company's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). Firms that responded to the original announcement need not submit a request; a copy of the RFP will automatically be sent. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 2653 with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. See Numbered Note 1.
