Z -- TO REFURBISH EXISTING EMERGENCY GENERATORS AT NORTHSIDE AND SOUTHSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, PLATTSBURGH AFB, NEW YORK SOL 121-95-0011 DUE 111595. POC Demetra Lynardakis, Contracting Officer, 212-264-4031. To refurbish two emergency generator plants at Northside and Southside Elementary Schools, Plattsburgh AFB, New York. The scope of work includes but not limited to: new chain link enclosures to protect fill connections; replacement of existing deteriorated vaporizers and regulators with new equipment as well as new fencing for protection; a complete overhaul of both generators including replacement of various components such as freezeout plugs, hoses, spark plugs, wiring, etc.; overhaul of combustion/ventilation dampers and motors; installation of manual lockable shut off valves in the fuel gas piping systems; adding another electrical panel and manual transfer switch for the Northside installation to relieve the load on the generator; new load testing on each generator following completion of all work; and provide appropriate training for school district maintenance personnel to assure proper future maintenance of the equipment. The estimated bid opening date is November 15, 1995. The dates as stated are estimated and will be finanlized in the IFB. The estimated construction cost is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. This procurement will be issued as a small business set aside under the small business demonstration program. The SIC code is 1731. Award of this contract is subject to availability of funds.
