67 -- 67 - HYPERVELOCITY IMPACT TEST FACILITY HIGH SPEED VIDEO CAMERA EQUIPMENT SOL 9BH303511P DUE 110795 POC RUSSELL JENNINGS, Tel:713-483-8508 Contracting Officer:TRACY HANCOCK, Tel:713-244-5151 NASA Johnson Space Center intends to contract with Cooke Corporation of Tonawanda, NY to provide Hypervelocity Impact Test Facility (HIT-F) high speed video camera equipment. The HIT-F launches projectiles to velocities as high as 7.5 km/s using two stage light gas guns. The new 17 calibergun range requires a camera system to measure the velocity of accelerated projectiles. The required camera specifications are an exposure length of 50nsec to 1msec with a maximum exposure rate of 2,000,000 Hz. All equipment must operate with existing instumentation. Note 22. (0275)
