NASA Johnson Space Center intends to contract with Cooke Corporation of
Tonawanda, NY to provide Hypervelocity Impact Test Facility (HIT-F)
high speed video camera equipment. The HIT-F launches projectiles to
velocities as high as 7.5 km/s using two stage light gas guns. The new
17 calibergun range requires a camera system to measure the velocity
of accelerated projectiles. The required camera specifications are an
exposure length of 50nsec to 1msec with a maximum exposure rate of
2,000,000 Hz. All equipment must operate with existing instumentation.
