notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable,
otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in
addition, where applicable): ICS 43.120; 13.340. 5. Title and number of
pages of the notified document: Automotive Vehicles - Steering Control
Systems - Method of Measurement of Impact, 15 pages. 6. Description of
content: This standard specific method of test for determination of
impact of steering control system on the driver in the event of any
frontal collision. The standard is applicable to vehicles with a
maximum mass up to 1,500 kg. fitted with steering control. Vehicle
which does not meet the requirement of impact, an appropriate seat belt
assembly shall be installed for the driver of the vehicle. 7. Objective
and rationale: Quality control and safety. 8. Relevant documents: After
the draft standard is finalized, notification will be made through
Government of Indian Gazette. Information will also be published in
Standards Worldover Monthly Additions published by this Bureau. 9.
Proposed date of adoption and entry into force: January 1996. 10. Final
