EG&G Florida, Inc. intends to procure from AIR LIQUIDE AMERICA CORPORATION on a sole source basis, for the period January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1996, liquid oxygen grade F (LO2F) to Military Specification MIL-P-25508E, Ammendment 3, Grade F, Propellant, Oxygen, as qualified by the following: total hydrocarbons, as methane by volume, maximum, is 10.0 parts per million (ppm). ''Other'' impurities, to include helium, neon, nitrogen, argon, and krypton, is 75 ppm by volume. LO2F is classified as a nonflammable gas by the Hazardous Materials Regulations of The Department of Transportation (DOT). The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any other source(s) exist, therefore, no RFP is available. Interested firms are invited to submit a response within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice which must include prices and technical data sufficient to deterine capability to meet the requirement. Telephone responses will not be considered. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether competition exists and whether a formal RFP is appropriate.
