The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to complete the removal of 4.2 miles of existing 115-kV transmission line; design, furnish, and install single-pole steel structures; place concrete, earth, and rock backfill as required; furnish and install conductor assemblies; furnish and string six 477,000-circular mil, ASCR, 26/7, nonspecular conductors; furnish and install overhead ground wire assemblies; furnish and string 2 3/8'' diameter, high-strength steel, 7-strand overhead ground wire; furnish and install fence grounds; furnish and install vibration dampers; furnish and attach structure signs; furnish and install all material to complete various approach spans; furnish and install aerial line markers; excavation; and install Government-furnished substation identification signs for the upgrading of the Gering-Stegall 115-kV Double Circuit Transmission Line, located near Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. The estimated order of magnitude of this project is between $250,000-$500,000. The solicitation will be issued on double-sided, high density DOS-formatted 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. The IFB and specifications are formatted using WordPerfect 5.1. The solicitation may be obtained in one of the following ways: FREE OF CHARGE: Solicitation and Specifications on diskette without drawings; $10.00 NONREFUNDABLE FEE: Solicitation and specifications on diskette with drawings on hardcopy; or $20.00 NONREFUNDABLE FEE: Solicitation, specifications, and drawings on hardcopy. All work for all of the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) must be completed within 180 calendar days after the Agency issuance of the ''Notice to Proceed.'' All the CLINs will be delivery FOB Destination. There will be only one award made from this solicitation. Therefore, all bidders must submit their bids on an ''all or none basis.'' This solicitation will e issued on or about 12/2/95. The projected bid opening date is on or about 2/2/96. This proposed procurement is unrestricted.
