Tennant, Jr., Contracting Officer, (301) 713-0823 The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration requires the services of a contractor to provide field engineering support and the performance of major maintenance tasks as necessary to replace, upgrade, refurbish or otherwise increase the long-term serviceability of existing NESDIS facilities and equipment. This support shall include, but not be limited to: depot level maintenance of satellite earth terminal equipment; major equipment maintenance and overhaul; modifications to systems and subsystems; documentation support; equipment installation and integration; equipment testing and calibration; system and facilities planning and design support; quality assurance support; logistics support for major installations and depot level maintenance; and removal and disposal of obsolete equipment and facilities. The resultant contract shall be subject to the Service Contract Act and Wage Determinations have been requested for all locations at which work may be performed. The period of performance shall extend from the effective date of contract award through 12 consecutive months with options to extend performance for four additional option years. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 20, 1995 and will close on or about December 22, 1995. All requests for copies of the solicitation shall be in writing, identifying Solicitation No. 52-DGNE-6-00030. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. (0291)
