DEFENSE SYSTEMS ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT COURSE, PHOENIX, ARIZONA, JANUARY 8 - 12, 1996 This course is for industry and government program managers and acquisition executives. It covers the DOD acquisition life cycle process, emphasizing DOD Directive 5000.1 and Instruction 5000.2, and includes case studies which present challenges to the successful management of DOD programs. The course provides an opportunity for industry participants to interact with DOD personnel involved in the systems acquisition process and is taught by the Defense Systems Management College. A significant portion of the course will cover the new environment of acquisition reform.
