There were 1,638,019 pieces of laundry and 4,124 pieces of dry cleaning processed at Fort Campbell during FY 95. In addition to laundry and dry cleaning services, the sewing of insignias will also be required. The estimated monthly number of insignias to be sewn is 5,500 to 6,500. The laundry and dry cleaning must be processed in accordance with instructions from the International Fabric Institute, the best practices of the laundry and dry cleaning industry, and the Centers of Disease Control (hospital linen). Interested sources should respond in writing stating their interest, experience, and resources/capability available to process the required volume of laundry and dry cleaning required, exclusive of Individual Piece Rate. Provided for your information, existing Government-owned facility processed 366,243 individual piece rate of laundry and 91,887 individual piece rate of dry cleaning.
