The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to El Salvador intends to compete a contract with Salvadoran firms or U.S. firms currently based in El Salvador, for the administration of Salvadoran personnel who provides a variety of services to USAID offices, residences, and warehouses, such as: electricians, radio technicians, computer technicians, carpenters, telephone and fax operators, gardeners, etc. It is expected that aproximately 37 local individuals will be included in the resulting contract. The contractor will be responsible for payment of salaries and required local labor benefits, record keeping of time and attendance reports, including overtime, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, annual bonuses, etc. This note of intent is not a request for competitive proposals from US based firms. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
