Arkansas at Little Rock's Arkansas Small Business Development Center
(ASBDC) is sponsoring a small business training workshop on doing
business with the government. How To Do Business With The Government
will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 1995 at Echols Conference
Center, Westark Community College in Fort Smith, Arkansas OR Friday,
November 10, 1995 at the Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Industrial
Drive in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The time for both seminars is from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The registration fee for this seminar is $35.00
per person, which includes lunch and materials. The speaker will be
David Barghols, a federal marketing specialist and retired Chief of the
Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization Office at Tinker Air Force
Base. The workshop provides business firms with procedures and
information necessary to participate in federal contracting
opportunities. If you are already doing business with the government,
learn how to better deal with their complex bureaucracy. Topics
include: Introduction to the Federal Marketplace, Locating the
Marketplace, Getting on the Bidder's Mailing List, Completing Bid &
Proposal Forms, and Administrative Considerations. The seminar is
sponsored by Westark Community College, Jacksonville Chamber of
Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of Fort Smith, Little Rock Air Force
Base, Air National Guard, City of Jacksonville - Office of Economic
Development, and UALR Arkansas Small Business Development Center. To
