58 -- O&R SERVICES FOR VIDEO TYPE RECORDERS (VTRS) POC Contact Nick Youn, Maintenance Engr, 908-532-4836. This is a market survey covering Overhaul and Repair (O&R) services for Video Tape Recorders (VTRs), NSN 5835-01-212-1622 (Thompson) and P/N 406-377-003-101, (Precision Echo) (NSN currently not assigned). The Army has projected requirement to perform depot O&R for quantity of approximately 220 VTRs NSN 5835-01-212-1622 and 140 VTRs P/N 406-377-003-101 over a four year period for use in the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter. The proposed acquisition will include publication and documentation. Only those offerors who can meet total technical and delivery requirements with a fully qualified VTR that meets form, fit and function requirement should respond. Offerors must provide proof of their ability in written response to this market survey, to the procuring activity, US Army CECOM, Logistics Maintenance Directorate (LMD), Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5008, no later than 15 days following publication in the CBD. Offerors proof of their ability to meet Government requirments shall, as a minimum include the following: A. Required test equipment availability and flight (Helicopter) test data to show offeror's capability to meet OH-58D Kiowa Warrior operational requirement. B. Availability of operational manual. C. Ability to coordinate and implement the repair of defective VTRs in a timely manner and promptly return them to the field in order to maintain Helicopter readiness. D. Overhauled/repaired VTRs be compatable with the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter in which they are utilized. E. Must have three year warranty . This acquisition is expected to be noncompetitive procurement with Bell Helicopter of Hurst Texas, 76053. Award is anticipated before 3rd Quarter FY96.
