S. Department of Energy, Oakland Operations Office (DOE/OAK) will issue a Request For Proposals (RFP) Number DE-RP03-96SF20948 entitled ''Plutonium Stabilization and Packaging Services''. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 8711 Engineering Services. The RFP will solicit proposals from potential offerors with demonstrated experience in handling, and managing fissile materials. The selected Contractor will design, engineer, deliver and supervise the installation of equipment to be used primarily to stabilize and package plutonium metals and oxides of greater than 50 PU-wt%. The RFP is expected to be issued on or about December 1, 1995.
