The Government intends to procure the following equipment and services from the Consortium for Materials Development in Space (CMDS), University of Alabama, Huntsville. Critical instrumentation for the sub-orbital space experiment of a single twenty foot long foam inflation-rigidized (FIR) beam, including space flight hardware integration and post-mission examination improvements (instrumentation to analyze deployment and gross morphology) on existing hardware. The flight is currently scheduled for February 1996. Installation of three CCD TV Cameras with down link video capability and accelerometers. Completion of integration is to be performed by mid-December. The procedure to be used in awarding this purchase order is written quotation. Anticipated award date is 14 Dec 95.
