Since the solicitation release was postponed, this advertisement is being rerun under the education and training section for better publicity. The US Air Force and Ogden Air Logistics Center have a requirement for design and development services to assist the Training Support Squadron's (TRSS) interactive courseware development for the Visual Imaging and Technology-Based Training Resources and Services (VITTRS) Program. The TRSS, attached to Air Education and Training Command, is located at Hill AFB. This will be a two-step procurement with a Statement of Work. The contract type will be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity with an anticipated base year period of performance from 1 Feb 96 to 30 Sep 96 and four one-year options. Anticipated release of the RFTP is now 1 Dec 95 with a projected 30 day suspense from release of the RFTP to proposal deadline. The workscope will include, but is not limited to: (1) Construction and use of Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) 3D modeling, rendering, animation, and print-based by-products; (2) Interpretation of simulator data and calculation of extensive 4D mathematical modeling; (3) Creation and use of expert software and logic, visual information management and manipulation; (4) The understanding and application of expert theory-based instructional design methodologies and principles in the design and application of computer-based training products; and (5) Software engineering to insure correctness, maintainability, flexibility, modularity, reusability, and adaptability.
