Repair/Recondition Propeller, etc. Vessel's Homeport is Miami Beach,
FL. Vessel's Availability Schedule is 25 March 1995 for 42 days. Place
of performance is unrestricted. There will be a nonrefundable charge
of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order
payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other
reference documents are available for viewing at Building 400N,
Governors Island, NY. Funds are not presently available for this
procurement. The government's obligation under this solicitation is
contingent upon availablity of appropriated funds from which payment
for contractual purposes can be made. The proposed contact listed here
is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Deonstration Program.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 12 DEC 95. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
