perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following
minimum items: (1) Fabricate and install rope guards, (2) Remove,
inspect and reinstall propeller shaft, (3) Renew water-lubricated shaft
bearings, (4) Remove, inspect and reinstall propeller, (5) Preserve the
transducer hull ring and renew the depth indicating transducer, (6)
Overhaul, renew and test valves, (7) Remove, inspect, and reinstall
rudder, (8) Replace sewage tank assembly and tank level sensing system,
(9) Clean and inspect diesel fuel tanks, (10) Remove, dispose and
provide new fuel oil (1,000 gallons), (11) Non-destructive coating
system thickness measurement, (12) Condition A (Entire underwater
body), (13) Clean, inspect and disinfect potable water tank, (14)
Preserve sewage void, (15) Renew corrosion preventive zinc anodes, (16)
Provide Temporary Logistics, (17) Routine Drydocking, (18) Provide
Breakfast, (19) Provide Lunch, (20) Provide Dinner, (21) Provide
Temporary Berthing, (22) Inspect and overhaul sea strainers, (23)
Preserve lazarette bilges, (24) Preserve main hold bilges, (25) Renew
01 deck plating, etc. Vessel's homeport is Norfolk, VA. Vessel
availability schedule is 18 MAR 96 for 35 days. Vessel length is 82
Foot ''C'' Class Patrol Boat. Indefinite items include but are not
limited to the following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Align caterpillar
main engine, (3) Renew forward strut barrel, (4) Renew shaft covering,
(5) Straighten shaft, (6) Renew aft strut barrel, (7) Renew shaft
sleeve, (8) Minor repair and recondition propeller, (9) Renew rudder
port, (10) Destructive coating sytem thickness measurements, (11) Minor
coating repairs, (12) Preserve potable water tank, (13) Provide
additional temporary logistics, (14) Provide additional temporary
berthing, etc. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a
certified check or money order made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard
for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available
for viewing at building 400N, Governors Island NY. The proposed
contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 18 Dec 95. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall
be considerd by the United Stated Coast Guard. For Minority,

Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up t $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
