58 -- PURCHASE PORTABLE, HAND HELD, RADIOS POC Ms. Wendy L. Takeguchi 011-822-7914-8676. The Government intends to purchase 54, Portable, Hand Held Radios. In-country warranty maintenance must be provided. Radios must meet the following minimum characteristics. Operating bandwidth 8.5KHz, Channel separation 12.5KHz & affected operating frequency is 406-470MHz (UHF) and 138-174 MHz (VHF). Interoperable with existing on-hand analog and digital systems. Must be multi-mode and capable of operating wide band analog and digital narrowband. Frequency, bandwidth & channel separation shall be modifiable through software adjustments only. Shall have DES capability (not NSA), operate in DES mode while adhering to the 12.5 channel separation & 8.5Khz bandwidth. Operate in the Non-DES to DES and be able to switch and communicate in the clear (non-DES to Non-DES). To ensure 100% compatibility with all existing radios, new radios must be fully interoperable in all modes with the existing Motorola radios: MT-500/H34BBU3144A, MT-1000/H44GUC5170A, MX-350/H44SXU3120, MX-360/H44SXU3120AN, Saber-1 Radios/H44YXN71398CN & Astro Saber Radios/H04SDC9XW5.
