Ralph Nunn (816) 426-7424 (Site Code DACW41) The work to be performed consists of source removal actions at two sites within Griffiss AFB as follows: Site 1, removal of a filter pit, a 25,000 gallon underground storage tank (UST) and one section of jet fuel supply pipe, one tank hydrant and grouting of the remaining abandoned underground pipelines and associated meter hydrant pits. Site 2, demolition of Building 771 (pumphouse 5) and removal of all underground facilities including four 50,000 gallon USTs, one 2,000 gallon collection UST, one valve pit, one low point drain and removal of free product. Contaminated soil encountered during removal action at both sites will also be required to be removed. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 22, 1995. Bids will be opened on or about January 30, 1996. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The SIC code is 1629.
