Whalen, (717)821-7222 Architect-Engineer services to design and provide complete plans, specifications and cost estimate for Project No. 693-96-116, ''Cook-Chill System Site Prep''. Work required for this project will include architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical/HVAC design for the installation of a new blast chiller, 26 chiller/cart servers and a new tray line for the main kitchen located in the basement of Building No. 1. Technical services will also include analyzing the existing HVAC system and possible retrofitting for additional heat load generated by new chiller units. Drawings will include coordination of VA supplied/contractor installed equipment for the Cook-Chill System. Drawings shall be prepared using AutoCAD release 12, c2 software and disks shall be presented to this agency at 100% completion in .dwg format. Specifications shall be written using Word Perfect 5.1 software and shall be presented to this agency at the 100% completion. Contractor is required to submit 25%, 75% and 100% submissions to also include working documents, technical specifications, site visits, cost estimates, construction period services and related work for this project at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The Government estimated cost range for construction period services is between $250,000 - $500,000. This is NOT a request for proposal. Interested firms must be geographically located within a 50 mile radius of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and must submit the required documentation indicated in numbered Note 24 no later than close of business (4:30 p.m.), January 22, 1996.
